The Eilc is one of our most versatile pieces. It can be worn as either a pendant on a chain, a brooch, scarf pin, or kilt pin. Chain is not included, but can be added at checkout. Due to the size and heft of this item, we recommend a heavy 24 inch chain to match the size and weight of the piece.

The design is taken directly from the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript that is considered one of Ireland's greatest cultural treasures. We named the design "Eilc," which means "elk" in Gaelic. This design is certainly not representational, however, and many people interpret the animal designs of the Book of Kells in ways that are meaningful to them.

As with all of our pieces, this one is cast using lost wax techniques out of pure sterling silver. It has quite a bit of heft to it, and when you feel it you can truly feel the quality of the materials.

Our pieces are handmade in our Pennsylvania studio, and all are available upon request in other fine metals such as gold or platinum.
