Crafted by Hand

The Creative Process

Centuries Old Traditions that Stand the Test of Time

Each item produced by Harp and Hound Jewelry is created using lost-wax casting, a technique that has historically been used to produce jewelry for thousands of years. This process creates extremely sturdy, durable pieces that can be enjoyed for decades, or even centuries.

Designed by Hand

Our unique process begins by creating a prototype; often we use metal or wax to craft our initial designs. Once a style is perfected, we make a rubber mold of the item.

The mold is then used to create an individual wax copy for each piece that is produced. The wax is placed inside of investment plaster, and molten metal is poured into the plaster, which vaporizes the wax (hence the term "lost wax") and creates a copy of the design in metal.

Every item that you purchase from our studio is crafted by hand, manufactured from start to finish in Pennsylvania, and is slightly unique in its own way.

We bring this same level of care to custom and repair work, and we offer a full range of professional fine jewelry services.
